38 Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named Richard or Dick aged about twenty five years about six feet high of a dark complexion, and has both the first Joint of the left thumb, is the same person manumitted by Jeremiah Hughes by deed dated the tenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eleven and that the said negro man named Richard or Dick was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 13th day of January 1814 Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit: I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named Robert Johnson aged about thirty five years complexion black with a small scar upon the forehead over the left eye and about five feet nine and an half inches high is the same person manumitted by James N Weems by deed bearing date the twenty seventh day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eight; and that the said negro man named Robert Johnson was raised in the County aforesaid. Issued the 20th day of January 1814 Anne Arundel County to wit: I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro woman named Sil aged about fifty four years about five feet two and an half inches high of a brown complexion with a natural mark resembling a scar on the right hand is the same person manumitted by Francis Cromwell by deed dated the twenty third |
