was raised in Price Georges County
Issued the 25 day of November 1813



Maryland Anne Arundel County Sc.  I hereby certify
to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath
been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
a negro man named Sam aged about twenty three
years about five feet five and an half inches high
of a light complexion with a large scar upon the
side of the right leg is the same person named in
a deed of manumission executed by Margaret
Hopkins on the twentieth day of August in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
thirteen and that his freedom commenced on the
first day of January one thousand eight hundred
and fourteen  And that the said negro sam was
raised in the County aforesaid
Issued the 6.th day of January 1814


Maryland Anne Arundel County sc.  I hereby Certify to
all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man
named Guy aged about twenty five years about five feet
six and one half Inches high of a dark complexion with
a small scar upon the right cheek and one other upon the
forehead is the same person manumitted by Mordecai
Stewart by deed dated the fifth day of August in the
year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety
one, that his freedom commenced on the first day of
January one thousand Eight hundred and fourteen, and
that the said negro man named Guy was raised in
the County aforesaid
                Issued the 8th day of January 1814
