Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify, that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
named Hercules Gibson aged about twenty two
years, about five feet ten Inches high yellow
Complexion has a small scar on each side of
the right knee is one of the persons manumitted
by Genard H Snowden by deed dated the twenty
second day of September in the year of our Lord
one thousand Eight hundred and twenty six
and that he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 8th day of may 1828

    Maryland Anne Arundel County To wit:
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify, that it hath been proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
William Harrison  aged about Forty seven years about
five feet three and an half Inches high black complexion,
has a small scar over the left eye is the Identical person
manumitted by Benjamin Gaither by deed dated the
Tenth day of February in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and sixteen and that he was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 20th day of May 1828


    Maryland Anne Arundel County To wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify, that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
named William Prout aged about twenty one years
about five feet four inches high dark complexion has
a scar on the neck near the left collar bone and one on
each of his little fingers was free born and that he was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 21st day of May 1828
