Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

    Maryland Anne Arundel County To wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby certify, that it hath been proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named John
Henry Cooke aged about twenty two years about five
feet six inches high dark complexion has a large
scar on the right hand wrist was free born, and that
he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 21st day of May 1828


    Maryland Anne Arundel County To wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel county
court do hereby Certify, that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Kitty Thompson
aged about Thirty years about five feet two and an half
inches high dark complexion, has no perceptible mark
is one of the persons manumitted by Lewis Duvall by Deed
dated the Eighteenth day of February in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and one and that she was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 2d day of June 1828

    Maryland Anne Arundel County To wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel county court,
do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof named Thomas Parker aged about
Nineteen years about five feet seven Inches high black
complexion has a small scar upon the Chin was free born,
and that he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 4th day of June 1828

    Maryland Anne Arundel County To wit:
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel county court,
do hereby certify, that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof named Nelly Nicholson aged about
Thirty seven years about five two and an half Inches high,
dark complexion, has a small scar on the left wrist is one
of the persons manumitted by Joseph Court by Deed dated the
Twentieth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and two and that she was raised in the county
aforesaid
    Issued the 10th day of June 1828
