Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
        I Hereby certify to all whom it doth or may
concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof a negro man named James
Titus aged about forty years about five feet six
and an half inches high of a dark complexion
and blind in the left eye is the same person
manumitted by John Merriken by deed dated
the fourteenth day of September in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eleven
and that the said James Titus was raised in
the County aforesaid
Issued the 14.th day of January 1813



Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
        I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may
concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof a negro woman named
Murrier aged about thirty six years about five
feet four inches high of a dark complexion
with a small scar upon the right cheek bone
is the same person manumitted by John
Merriken by deed dated the fourteenth day
of September in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and eleven and that the said
negro Murrier was raised in the County aforesaid
Issued the 14.th day of January 1813



    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit: 
                I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may
concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof a negro man named Archibald
Hawkins aged about twenty one years about five feet
