Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

or may concern that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Andrew
Parker aged about Twenty two years about five
feet seven Inches high dark Complexion a small
scar over the right eye and another on the right
hand was free born and raised in the County
aforesaid
    Issued the 31 day of August 1826


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I hereby Certify to all whom it doth
or may concern that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro
woman named Flora aged about thirty Eight
years about five feet three Inches high
black Complexion a small scar on the right
thumb and another on the right wrist is one
of the persons manumitted by John Chew
Thomas by deed dated the third day of
February in the year Eighteen hundred and ten
and that she was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 31st day of August 1826


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or
may concern that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man
named John Watkins aged about Twenty Eight
years about five feet one Inch high black
Complexion a small scar over the right eye and
another on the left wrist, was free born and
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 2d day of September 1826
