Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit: 
        I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may
concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof a negro woman
named Sophia, aged about twenty one years
of a brown Complexion about five feet two
Inches high, with a small black mole over
the right eye brow, is the same person manumitted
by Susanna Lane by deed dated the
twenty third day of April in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
twelve; and that the said negro woman
Sophia was raised in the County aforesaid
       Issued the 23rd day of April 1812.



    Anne Arundel County to wit:  I hereby Certify
to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a
mulatto woman named Polly Castle aged about
twenty six years about five feet four and an half
Inches high of a light complexion is the same
person manumitted by Elizabeth Claude by deed
dated the twenty first day of February in the year
of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and ten,
and that the said Polly Castle was raised in
the County aforesaid
          Issued the 5th day of May 1812



Anne Arundel County sc.  I hereby Certify to all
whom it doth or may concern, that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a
negro man named Nicholas Duffin aged about
