19 Anne Arundel County to wit: I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named Philip Boston of a dark complexion, about forty years of age about five feet Eleven Inches high with a small scar upon the left side of the nose is a free man, and that he obtained his from by petetion in the late General Court against Richard Sprigg, and that the said Philip Boston was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 27.th day of March 1812 Anne Arundel County to wit: I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named Bill Brister aged about forty years, about five feet five and one half Inches high of a dark complexion with a small scar upon the right Cheek and another scar upon the right Eye, with the first joint of the little finger of the left hand stiff, is the same person manumitted by Daniel of Saint Thomas Jenifer by deed dated the fourteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety and that his freedom commenced on the first day of January in the year one thousand seven hundred and ninety six, and that the said Bill Brister was raised in Charles County Issued the 1st day of April 1812 Anne Arundel County to wit: I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named Frank Matthews aged about thirty years about five feet six inches and an half high of a |
