complexion with a scar upon the right cheek is free
born, and that the said Sarah Savoy was raised in
the County aforesaid
          Issued the 28th day of November 1811


Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit:
         I Hereby certify to all whom it doth or
may concern that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man
named Charles of a dark complexion about
twenty seven years of age about six feet high
with a scar on the right Cheek is the same
person named in a deed of manumission
executed by John Pitts on the seventeenth day of
June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and two and that his freedom commenced
on the fourth day of July in the year one thousand
eight hundred and nine and that the said man
named Charles was raised in the County aforesaid
Issued the 24.th day of January 1812.



Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit  I hereby
Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it
hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer
hereof a negro man named William of a brown
complexion about forty years of age about five feet
four Inches and an half high is the same person
named in a deed of manumission Executed by Thomas
Norman on the seventh day of August in the year of
our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and one, and
that his freedom commenced on the first day of
October in the year one thousand Eight hundred and
ten, and that the said man named William was
raised in the County aforesaid
          Issued the 22d day of February 1812
