143 small scar upon the back of the left hand is the Identical person manumitted by Margaret Hopkins by deed dated the twentieth day of August Eighteen hundred and thirteen, that his freedom commenced on the first day of January in the year eighteen hundred and fourteen, and that the said man named Ned was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 31st day of August 1819 Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro woman named Ruth aged about thirty two years about five feet four Inches high brown complexion has a scar on the lower part of the right side of her neck is one of the persons manumitted by Margaret Hopkins by deed dated the twentieth day of August Eighteen hundred and thirteen that his freedom commenced on the first day of January Eighteen hundred and fourteen, and raised in montgomery county Issued the 31st day of August 1819 Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer a negro woman named Beck aged about twenty nine years about five feet one and an half Inches high dark complexion has a scar on her right arm is one of the persons manumitted by Margaret Hopkins by deed dated the twentieth |
