day of August Eighteen hundred and
thirteen that his freedom Commenced on
the first day of January eighteen hundred
and fourteen, and was raised in Montgomery
County
Issued the 31st day of August 1819


Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit
I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may
concern that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro
woman named Rachel aged about twenty
six years about five feet six Inches high
black complexion has a scar on her left
under jaw is one of the persons manumitted
by Margaret Hopkins by deed dated the
twentieth day of August Eighteen hundred
and thirteen that her freedom commenced
on the first day of January Eighteen hundred
and fourteen and was raised in
Montgomery County
       Issued the 31st day of August 1819


Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit 
I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may
concern that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof a mulatto
woman named Lucy aged about thirty
nine years about five feet three and an
half Inches high no perceptible mark is
one of the persons manumitted by Margaret
Hopkins by deed dated the twentieth day of
August Eighteen hundred and thirteen
that her freedom commenced on the first
day of January Eighteen hundred and
