139 Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit: I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named Joseph Thomas aged about twenty two years about six feet high black complexion a small scar a little above the left Elbow and one other small scar a little below the right breast was free born; and that the said man named Joseph Thomas was raised in the county aforesaid Issued the 29th day of July 1819 Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit: I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named Daniel aged about twenty two years about five feet Eight Inches high black Complexion a small scar upon the back of the left hand, another upon the right arm near the shoulder and another over the left eye is the Identical person manumitted by Ann Jenifer by deed dated the fourteenth day of May in the year one thousand Eight hundred and nineteen and that the said negro man named Daniel was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 31 day of July 1819 Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit: I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro woman named Flora aged about forty five years about five feet five and an half Inches high brown Complexion a scar upon the inside of the left arm, and has lost the first Joint of the forefinger of the right hand, is the Identical person manumitted by |
