I Thomas H Hall Register of wills for Anne Arundel County do
hereby Certify and attest that it appears from the Last will and Testament
of Zachariah Duvall late of the County aforesaid deceased that he did by
his said will manumit Liberate and set free a negro man by the
name of James and it being proved to my satisfaction that he is the
Identical person as freed by said will I do certify that he is in heighth
Five feet four Inches and a quarter of an Inch is about the age of
Twenty five years Dark Complexion and was freed by the Last will
and Testament of the said Zachariah Duvall dated Twentieth day of
July Eighteen hundred and fifteen was raised in Anne Arundel
County and has a scar just behind his left ear
      In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed
                    the seal of my office this 11th day of January 1825

late of Anne Arundel County the County aforesaid
deceased that he did by his said will, Manumit, Liberate
and set free a Negro Man by the Name of Jack Gainer
and it being proved to my Satisfaction that he is
the Identical person as freed by said Will I do Certify
that he is ^in^ height five feet seven Inches is about the
age of thirty five years black Complexion and was
freed by the last Will and Testament of the said John
Linested bearing Date the second Day of December
Eighteen hundred and seventeen.  was raised in Anne
Arundel County and was raised in Anne Arundel
County and has no perceivable Mark
    In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed
            the seal of my office this 26th day of February in
            the year our Lord 1825
