Arundel County do hereby certify and attest that it appears from the last Will and Testament of Mary Gaither late of the county aforesaid, deceased, that she did by her said Will, manumit, Liberate and set Free, a negro woman by the name of Rachel and it being proved to my satisfaction that the Bearer hereof is the identical person as freed by said Will. I do certify that she is in height five feet three inches, is about the age of twenty six years, yellow complexion and was freed by the last Will and Testament of the said Mary Gaither dated the fourteenth day of December Eighteen hundred and fifteen and was raised in Anne Arundel County and has a lump on her right wrist and a small scar on her upper lip Issued the 11th day of February 1837 Sam.l Brown Jun Reg Wills A. A. County I Samuel Brown Jun.r Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County do hereby certify and attest that it appears from the last Will and Testament of Frances Yates, late of the County aforesaid, deceased, that she did by her said Will, manumit, Liberate and Set Free, a negro woman by the name of Charity and it being proved to my satisfaction that the Bearer hereof is the identical person as freed by said Will. I do certify that she is in height five feet four inches, is about the age of thirty Six years, dark complexion, and was freed by the last Will and Testament of the said Frances Yates dated the thirteenth day of July Eighteen hundred and three and was raised in Anne Arundel County and has a scar on the left cheek Issued the 27th day of February 1837 Sam Brown Jun Reg Wills A A County I Samuel Brown Jun.r Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County do hereby Certify and Attest that it appears from the Last Will and Testament of Mary Harrison late of the County aforesaid, deceased, that she did by her said Will, Manumit, Liberate and Set Free, a Negro man by the Name of Samuel Davis and it being proved to my Satisfaction that the Bearer hereof is the identical person as Freed by said Will. I do certify that he is in heighth five feet 7½ inches, is about the of 42 or 3 years Black Complexion and was Freed by the last Will and Testament of the said Mary Harrison dated the twenty Seventh day of August Eighteen hundred and Ten and was raised in Anne Arundel County and has a Scar on the forehead and one in the corner of the right Eye Brow Issued the 14th day of March 1837 Sam Brown Jun Reg Wills A A County I Samuel Brown Jun.r Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County do hereby certify and attest that it appears from the last Will and Testament of William P. Ridgely late of the County aforesaid, deceased, that he did by his said Will, manumit, Liberate and set free, a negro man by the name of Isaac Lansdale and it being proved to my satisfaction that the Bearer hereof is the identical person as Freed by said Will. I do certify that he is in height five feet eight inches, is about the age of forty six years, Dark Complexion, and was Freed by the last Will and Testament of the said William P. Ridgely dated the Third day of March Eighteen hundred and fifteen and was raised in Anne Arundel County and has a scar on his left ear and one on the fourth finger of the left hand Issued the 17th day of April 1837 Sam.l Brown Jun Reg Wills A A County |
