Arundel County do hereby Certify and attest that it appears from the last will and Testament of Mary Howard late of the County aforesaid deceased, that she did by her said will Manumit, Liberate and Set free a Negro boy by the name of Sarah Cooke and it being proved to my Satisfaction that the Bearer hereof is the identical person as Freed by said will. I do Certify that she is in height five feet one & ¼ inches, is about the age of Twenty five years, mulatto Complexion, and was Freed by the last will and Testament of the said Mary Howard dated the Eighteenth day of August eighteen hundred and twenty nine was raised in Anne Arundel County and has no perceptible Scars Issued the 9th day of December 1836 Sam Brown Jun Reg Wills A A County I Samuel Brown Jun.r Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County do hereby certify and attest that it appears from the last Will and Testament of Elizabeth Battee late of the county aforesaid, deceased, that he did by her said Will, manumit, Liberate and set Free, a negro boy by the name of Daniel Starks and it being proved to my satisfaction that the Bearer hereof is the identical person as freed by said Will. I do certify that he is in height five feet 8½ inches, is about the age of Twenty four years, Dark complexion, and was Freed by the last Will and Testament of the said Elizabeth Battee dated the fourteenth day of March Eighteen hundred and twenty two and was raised in Anne Arundel County and has a scar on the left temple Issued the 28th day of December 1836 Sam.l Brown Jun.r Reg Wills A. A. County I Samuel Brown Jun.r Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County do hereby certify and attest that it appears from the last Will and Testament of Elizabeth Battee late of the County aforesaid, deceased, that she did by her said Will, Manumit, Liberate and set free, a negro boy by the name of James Hall and it being proved to my satisfaction that the Bearer hereof is the Identical person as Freed by said Will. I do Certify that he is in height five feet 7½ inches, is about the age of twenty four years, Dark Complexion, and was Freed by the last Will and Testament of the said Elizabeth Battee dated the Fourteenth day of March Eighteen hundred and twenty two and was raised in Anne Arundel County and has no perceptible marks Issued the 28th day of December 1836 Sam. County I Samuel Brown Jun.r Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County do hereby Certify and Attest that it appears from the last Will and Testament of Elizabeth Welch late of the County aforesaid, deceased, that she did by her said will manumit Liberate and set free, a negro boy by the name of Daniel and it being proved to my Satisfaction that the Bearer hereof is the Identical person as Freed by said will. I do certify that he is in height five feet 9½ inches, is about the age of twenty one years Dark Complexion and was Freed by the last will and Testament of the said Elizabeth Welch dated the Eighteenth day of June eighteen hundred and twenty four and was raised in Anne Arundel County and has a Scar over the left forehead and one on the back of the left hand Issued the 18th day of January 1837 |
