height five feet two & an ½ inches is about the age of thirty five years,
mulatto Complexion, and was Freed by the last will and Testament
of the said Sarah Cord dated the tenth day of September eighteen
hundred and four and was raised in Anne Arundel County

I Thomas T. Simmons Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County do
hereby Certify and Attest that it appears from the last will and Testament
of Sarah Cord late of the County aforesaid, deceased, that she did
by her said will manumit Liberate and set free a negro woman
by the name of Matilda Johnson and it being proved to my
satisfaction that the Bearer hereof is the identical person as
Freed by said will, I do Certify that she is in height five feet five
inches is about the age of thirty one years, black complexion, and was
freed by the last will and Testament of the said Sarah Cord dated
the tenth day of September eighteen hundred and four and was raised
in Anne Arundel County and has a scar on the breast throat and one
on the left arm below the elbow

I Thomas T. Simmons Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County
do ^hereby^ Certify and Attest that it appears from the last will and Testament of
Richard Benson late of the County aforesaid, deceased, that he did by his said
will manumit Liberate and set free a negro woman by the name of
Sue alias Susan Harris and it being proved to my satisfaction that the
Bearer hereof is the identical person as freed by said will, I do certify
that she is in height five feet is about the age of forty five years, black
Complexion, and was freed by the last will and Testament of the
said Richard Benson dated the eleventh day of April eighteen
hundred and twenty and was raised in Anne Arundel County and has
a large scar on the throat one on the nose one on the upper lip
and one on the left fore finger

Certify and Attest that it appears from the last will and Testament of Mary
Howard late of the County aforesaid, deceased, that she did by her said will
manumit Liberate and set free a negro man by the name of Peter and
it being proved to my satisfaction that the Bearer hereof is the identical
person as freed by said will, I do certify that she is in height five feet six
& an ½ inches is about the age of twenty two years, light black complexion,
and was freed by the last will and Testament of the said Mary Howard
dated the eighteenth day of August eighteen hundred and twenty nine
and was raised in Anne Arundel County and has a scar on the left breast and
one on each wrist
