man by the name of Hercules and it being proved to my satisfaction
that the Bearer hereof is the identical person as freed by said will, I do
Certify that he is in height five feet seven inches is about the age of twenty
three years, dark Complexion, and was freed by the last will and Testament
of the said Ann Cheston Junior dated the seventh day of march eighteen
hundred and nine and was raised in Anne Arundel County and has a
scar on the left side of the neck and one on the right thumb

I Thomas T. Simmons Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County do hereby
Certify and Attest that it appears from the last will and Testament of
Thomas W. Howard late of the County aforesaid, deceased, that he did
by his said will manumit Liberate and set free a negro woman by the
name of Christy and it being proved to my satisfaction that the
Bearer hereof is the identical person as freed by said will, I do certify
that she is in height five feet two and ½ inches is about the
age of nineteen years, light ^black^ complexion, and was freed by the
last will and Testament of the said Thomas W. Howard dated
the seventh day of January eighteen hundred and seventeen
and was raised in Anne Arundel County and has a scar on the right
arm one on the left arm and one between the eyes on the nose

    I Thomas T. Simmons Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County do
hereby Certify and Attest that it appears from the last will and Testament
of Samuel Lewis late of the County aforesaid, deceased, that he
did by his said will manumit Liberate and set free a negro man
by the name of Charles and it being proved to my satisfaction that
the Bearer hereof is the identical person as Freed by said will, I do
Certify that he is in height five feet ten & an ½ inches is about the
age of forty five years, black Complexion, and was freed by the last
will and Testament of the said Samuel Lewis dated the twenty first
day of February eighteen hundred and thirty and was raised in Anne
Arundel County and has a scar on the fore middle and little finger of
the left hand

of Sarah Cord late of the County aforesaid, deceased, that she did by her said
will manumit Liberate and set free a negro woman by the name of Terry
Johnson and it being proved to my satisfaction that the Bearer hereof
is the identical person as freed by said will, I do Certify that she is in
