    I Thomas T. Simmons Register of Wills for Anne Arundel
County do hereby Certify and Attest that it appears from the last
Will and Testament of Hester Hood late of the County aforesaid,
deceased, that she did by her said Will manumit Liberate and set
Free a negro Girl by the name of Priss the daughter of Cassy and
it being proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof is the
identical person as Freed by said will I do hereby Certify that
she is in height five feet two & an half inches is about the age of twenty
four years, Black Complexion, and was Freed by the last will and
Testament of the said Hester Hood dated the sixth day of April eighteen
hundred and twenty six and was raised in Anne Arundel County
has a scar over the right eye, on the left shoulder, and one on the
right hand
                            In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand
        (Seal)           and affixed the Seal of my office this twenty seventh
                            day of April in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred
                            and thirty two

Free a negro Girl Henny by the name of Henny the daughter
of Cassy and it being proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
is the identical person as Freed by said will I do Certify that
she is in height five feet two & an half inches, is about the age of
twenty one years, Black Complexion, and was Freed by the last
will and Testament of the said Hester Hood dated the sixth day of
April eighteen hundred and twenty six and was raised in Anne
Arundel County and has a scar on her forehead and right cheek
                            In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and
        (Seal)           affixed the seal of my office this twenty seventh day
                            of April in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred
                            and thirty two
