in the State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of one
hundred and fifty dollars current money to me in hand paid by Samuel
H. Redgraves of the City of Baltimore in the State aforesaid the receipt
of which I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold and
delivered and by these presents do grant bargain sell and deliver
unto the said Samuel H. Redgraves the negro Boy named Washington
now thirteen years of age which said negro is a servant for
a term of years and which said negro I hereby agree to to warrant
and defend to the said Samuel H. Redgraves his executors administrators
and assigns to serve him the said Samuel H. Redgraves
until the nineteenth day of November in the year one thousand
eight hundred and sixty when his term of servitude will expire
against all persons whatsoever.  In Witness whereof the said Thomas
T. Terry & Samuel H. Redgraves have hereunto interchangeably
set their hands and seals on this thirtieth day of October in the
year eighteen hundred and forty five

At the foot of the foregoing was thus written to wit

       State of Maryland
                                  Anne Arundel County Sct
On this 30.th day of October in the year eighteen hundred and forty
five personally appear Thomas T. Terry and Samuel H. Redgraves
before me the Subscriber Justice of the peace in and for said County
and acknowledge the aforegoing deed to be their act and deed for the
purposes therein mentioned

Recorded the 30.th day October 1845

Bill of sale from Kinsey Tydings
to Zachariah Johnson dated
the 27.th day of October eighteen
hundred and forty five
 Know all men by these presents
that I Kinsey Tydings of Anne
Arundel County and State of
Maryland for and in consideration
of the sum of forty dollars
lawful money of the Untied States in hand paid by Zachariah Johnson
at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these
presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Zachariah Johnson
his Executors administrators and assigns one cart and gear one Dunn
coloured horse one sorrel mare and two cows the said described
property to the said Zachariah Johnson his executors administrators
