said Barbara Lyles her executors administrators and assigns forever
and I the said William Lomax for myself my heirs executors
and administrators all and singular the said described property
and other the premises unto the said Barbara Lyles her executors
administrators and assigns against me the said William Lomax
my executors and administrators and assigns and against all
and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant
and forever defend by these presents all and singular which said
property or produce and other the premises I the said William
Lomax hath now in my possession provided always and it is the
true intent and meaning of these presents and of the parties
hereunto that if the said William Lomax his heirs executors
or administrators do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be
paid unto the said Barbara Lyles her executors administrators
or assigns the said full sum of one hundred and fifty dollars with
legal interest for the same on or before the fourteenth day of
August eighteen hundred and forty seven then and from thenceforth
these presents and every matter and thing therein contained shall
cease and be utterly null and void any thing therein to the contrary
thereof in any wise notwithstanding.  In Witness whereof I the
said William Lomax hath hereunto set my hand and affixed
my seal this fourteenth day of August eighteen hundred and forty

At the foot of the foregoing was thus written to wit

State of Maryland   Anne Arundel County to wit

On this fourteenth day of August eighteen hundred and forty five
before me the Subscriber one of the Justices for the said County
& state personally appeared William Lomax he being personally
known to me as the identical person who executed the foregoing
deed or instrument of writing to be his act and deed for the
purposes therein mentioned and the acts of Assembly in
such case made and provided
