497 this eighteenth day of August Anno Domini eighteen hundred and fifty one signed sealed and delivered in presence of William Watson (seal) J. S. Owens Mary A. Watson (seal) At the foot of the foregoing was thus written to wit State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Sct On this day of August 1851 personally appeared William Watson and Mary Ann Watson before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the state of Maryland in and for Anne Arundel County and acknowledged the foregoing instrument of writing to be their act and deed and the negro man therein named to be the property of the said William Hopkins. And I hereby certify that Mary Ann Watson signed the same out of the presence and hearing of her husband and at the same time and place the said William Watson and Mary Watson made oath before me the subscriber that the consideration set forth in said bill of sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth J. S. Owens Anne Arundel County to wit Received this day one dollar for stamp duty on this Instrument agreeably to the act of Assembly of December Session 1846 chap 61. from Samuel G. Taylor and wife bearing date the twenty sixth day of February eighteen hundred and fifty one and recorded among the land records of Anne Arundel County and the other from Lemuel G. Taylor above named bearing date the twenty first day of March Eighteen hundred and fifty one and recorded among the land records aforesaid of the one part and Daniel Dall of the City of Baltimore aforesaid of the other part Whereas the said party hereto of the first part as trustee aforesaid in pursuance of the power and authority in him vested hath sold and disposed of the chattels Estate effect and property hereinafter mentioned or described to the above named Daniel Dail for and in consideration of the sum of two thousand five hundred dollars lawful money of the United States Now this Indenture Witnesseth that in Consideration of the premises and of the said sum of two thousand five hundred dollars lawful money to the said party hereto of the first part paid by the party of the second part to these presents at or before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said Andrew Flannigan as trustee aforesaid hath by virtue and |
