Bill of sale from Edwin W. Duvall
to William Bryan and Benjamin
Allen Welch dated the fifth day
of August eighteen hundred and
forty five
Know all men by these
presents that I Edwin W.
Duvall of the City of Annapolis
in the State of Maryland for
and in consideration of the sum
of three hundred dollars current
money to me in hand paid by William Bryan and Benjamin Allen
Welch of Anne Arundel County in the said State at and before the
sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the said
Edwin W. Duvall do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained
and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto
the said William Bryan and Benjamin Allen Welch their Executors
administrators and assigns one Brown Horse with three white
feet one Buggy and Harness all and singular which said above
described property are now in the possession of the said Edwin
W. Duvall.  To Have and to Hold all and singular the above described
property and other the premises above bargained and
sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said William
Bryan and Benjamin Allen Welch their Executors
administrators and assigns forever and I the said Edwin W.
Duvall for myself my heirs Executors and administrators
all and singular the said property and other the premises unto
the said William Bryan and Benjamin Allen Welch their
Executors administrators and assigns against me the said
Edwin W Duvall my Executors and administrators and against
all and every person or persons whatsoever shall and will
warrant and forever defend by these presents of all and
singular which said goods and other the premises I the said
Edwin W. Duvall have put the said William Bryan and
Benjamin Allen Welch their Executors administrators and
assigns against me the said Edwin W. Duvall my executors
and administrators and against all and every person or persons
whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by
these presents of all and singular which said goods and other
the premises I the said Edwin W. Duvall have put the said
William Bryan and Benjamin Allen Welch in full possession
by delivering to them the said William Bryan and
Benjamin Allen Welch the above described property at the
sealing and delivering of these presents hereby bargained and
sold or mentioned and intended to be so unto them the said
William Bryan and Benjamin Allen Welch as aforesaid
