a justice of the peace of the State of Maryland in and for Anne
Arundel County duly commissioned and qualified as such
    (seal)   In Testimony whereof I hereto set my hand and affix
               the seal of Anne Arundel County Court this 8.th day

On this ninth day of July eighteen hundred and fifty one
before the Subscriber a justice of the peace of the State of
Maryland in and for the City aforesaid personally appeared
Moncure Robinson grantee named in the foregoing bill of
sale and made oath that the consideration therein set forth
is true and bona fide as therein set forth

       I hereby certify that Edward G. Stair Esquire before
whom the annexed acknowledgment was made and who
has thereto subscribed his name was at the time of so doing
a justice of the peace of the State of Maryland in and
for the City of Baltimore duly commissioned and sworn

presents that I Stephen
Beard Senr of Anne
Arundel County and
the State of Maryland for and in consideration of the
sum of five dollars current money to me in hand paid
by Nicholas Brewer jr who is now and for more than
one year last past has been a bona fide resident of
the State of Maryland the receipt whereof I hereby
acknowledge have bargained sold assigned and
transfered and by these presents do bargain sell
assign and transfer unto the said Nicholas Brewer jr
his executors and administrators all my right & title
in and to certain negroes particularly named and
described in and agreement made & concluded on the first
