a part of the personal estate of my Father (John G. Whittington)
late of Anne Arundel County, Ind, and the said William,
and Anne Maria, her children, born since his decease demise
If the said negroes or either of them shall have issue, during
the terms of servitude above named, the said issue to serve
till they may respectively attain the age of thirty years, and
then to be free.  In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my
name, and affixed my seal this seventh day of January
eighteen hundred and fifty one

State of Maryland, Anne Arundel County, to wit:  On this 7th
day of January, eighteen hundred and fifty one, before me one
of the Justices of the Peace, in and for said County, appears Mary
Jane Whittington, and acknowledges the foregoing writing to be her
act and deed, according to the true intent and meaning thereof,
and the Act of Assembly in such cases made and provided
                                                    Stephen L. Lee, J. P.

Anne Arundel County, to wit:  I certify that the grantee
this day paid one dollar, being the duty chargeable by Law on
this Instrument of Writing, the receipt whereof is hereon
endorsed agreeably to the Act of Assembly passed at December
Session 1846 Chapter 61.  Given under my hand this 21st day
of January 1851                        Jos: H. Nicholson Clk

Know all men by these presents, that I,
Joseph C. Collinson of Baltimore City in
the State of Maryland, for and in consideration
of the sum of five hundred dollars, current money to
me in hand paid by Edward Collinson of Anne Arundel County
in the said State, at and before the sealing and delivery
of these presents, the receipt whereof, I, the said Joseph C. Collinson
do hereby acknowledge, hath granted, bargained and sold, and by
these presents do grant, bargain and sell, unto the said Edward
Collinson, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns, one negro man
named Richard Brashers; the said Richard to serve the said Edward
forever.   To Have and To Hold the said Richard, above bargained
and sold, or mentioned or intended so to be, to the said Edward
