Anne Arundel County SS.  Be it remembered that on
this tenth day of December 1850, before the Subscriber, a Justice
of the Peace for said County appears Hamilton P. Moss, and
acknowledges the above Instrument of Writing to be his act and
deed, according to the true intent and meaning thereof.  And at
the same time, appeared before me William S. Weedon as
aforesaid, the grantee in the said Bill of Sale named and
made oath that the consideration set forth in said Bill of Sale is
true and bonafide as therein set forth

Anne Arundel County to wit:  I certify that the grantee this
day paid one dollar being the duty chargeable by Law on this
Instrument of Writing, the receipt whereof is hereon endorsed,
agreeably to the Act of Assembly of December Session 1846 Chapter 61
Given under my hand this 10.th day of December 1850

Know all men by these presents that I
Nicholas B. Worthington (agent for George Z.
Worthington) of Anne Arundel County and
State of Maryland, for and in consideration of the sum of one
hundred and sixty dollars lawful money of the United States,
in hand paid by Mary Weil, wife of Benhart Weil of Anne
Arundel County, at and before the sealing and delivery of these
presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge:  Have granted,
bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell
unto the said Mary Weil wife as aforesaid, her Executors Administrators
and Assigns, one negro woman named Harriet, and said
Harrietts child, named Ellen, to save the said Mary Weil, as aforesaid
during the life of the said Harriett and Ellen:  To Have and To Hold
the said described property (viz; the said Harriett and Ellen during
their lives as aforesaid, to the said Mary Weil, wife as aforesaid, her
Executors, Administrators and Assigns forever; and I the said
Nicholas B. Worthington for myself my heirs Executors and
Administrators, the said negroes above mentioned, unto the
said Mary Weil as aforesaid, her Executors, Administrators and
Assigns, against me the said Nicholas B. Worthington my Executors
and Administrators, and against all and every other
person or persons whatsoever, shall and will
