Beal Lusby
      to
Henrietta Gaither
This Indenture made this twenty third
day of October, in the year of our Lord,
one thousand, eight hundred and fifty
between Beal Lusby of Anne Arundel County in the State of
Maryland, of the one part, and Henrietta Gaither of hte other
part, sister of the said Beal Lusby of the first part, Witnesseth,
that the said Beal Lusby, as well for, and in consideration of
the natural love and affection, which he the said Beale Lusby hath
and beareth unto the said Henrietta Gaither, as also for the
better support, maintenance livelihood and preferment of her
the said Henrietta Gaither, hath given, granted, aliened, enfeoffed
and confirmed, and by these presents doth give, grant, alien
enfeoff and confirm unto the said Henrietta Gaither, her
heirs and assigns, all of my right, title and interest in and
to, two feather beds, and furniture, and all of my household
and kitchen furniture, one red and white heifer, plantation,
and two hogs, one horse cart, and one third of crop, to her the
said Henrietta, and her heirs and assigns forever, reserving no
right or title thereto, in any wise whatsoever.   In testimony
whereof, I the said Beal Lusby have hereunto set my hand,
and affixed my seal the day and year, first herein before written

Staet of Maryland.  A. A. Coty, to wit:  On this 23.rd day of October 1851,
personally appeared Beal Lusby, before us, two Justices of the Peace for said
County, and acknowledged the within deed or Instrument of Writing
to be his act and deed, and the property therein contained, to be the right
and property of Henrietta Gaither, according to the purpose, true intent, and
meaning thereof, and the Act of Assembly in such case made and
provided                                                         Witness our hand,

Know all men by these presents, that
whereas Lemuel G. Taylor of Baltimore, State
of Maryland, is owner of the Steamboat or vessel
called the "Maryland" of Annapolis, of the burthen of 336 42/95 tons or
thereabouts; and whereas the said Lemuel G. Taylor is indebted
to James McConky and Co of Baltimore aforesaid, and Samuel
