State of Maryland, Anne Arundel County, to wit;

On this 26.th day of October, in the year, eighteen hundred and fifty,
before the subscriber, one of the Justices of the Peace of the State of Maryland,
in and for said county, personally appeared, the within mentioned
Darius King, and acknowledged the foregoing Instrument of
Writing, to be his act and deed.  And I further certify that the
said party so appearing before me, is known to me of my own
Knowledge to be the identical person named and described as
and professing to be the party, granter in the foregoing
Instrument of Writing

            Acknowledged before, and certified by J. W. Hunter

State of Maryland, Anne Arundel County, to wit:

On this 26.th day of October, in the year 1850, before the Subscriber a
Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland, in and for said county
personally appeared James Iglehart and John T. Snowden, parties
granters to the foregoing Bill of Sale, and made oath that the
consideration mentioned therein is true and bonafide as
therein set forth         Sworn before

Jacob W. Bird Jr
Know all men by these presents, that I Samuel
C. Hunt of Baltimore County, in the State of Maryland,
for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars
current money, to me in hand paid by Jacob W. Bird Jr of Anne Arundel
County, in said State, at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents,
the receipt whereof, I the said Samuel C. Hunt do hereby acknowledge,
have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain
and sell, unto the said Jacob W. Bird Jr, his Executors, Administrators
and Assigns his negro man named George, a slave for a term
of years, and bound to serve till the twenty first day of July, in the year
Eighteen hundred and fifty four  To Have and To Hold the said negro
man named George, above bargained and sold, or mentioned or
intended so to be, to the said Jacob W. Bird Jr, his Executors, Administrators
and Assigns, for the term of three years, eight months and twenty five
days from the date of the execution of these presents.  In witness whereof
we hereunto subscribe our names, and affix our seals, this
twenty sixth day of October, in the year of our Lord, eighteen
