430 and one desk, and case vebe; also the following articles mortgaged to C. W. McLean, viz: two chairs, one settee and matras, one clock, a desk, and care, and a pair of blinds all in my possession. To Have and To Hold the said described furniture and chattels to the said Randall, And I the said James Wingate for myself, my heirs, Executors and Administrators the said furniture and chattels unto the said Randall his Executors, and I the said James Wingate, for myself my Heirs, Executors and Administrators, the said furniture and chattels, unto him the said Randall his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns, against me the said Wingate, my executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents, provided nevertheless, and it is the true intent and meaning of these presents, and of the said parties hereto, that in case the said Wingate his Executors or Administrators, shall well and truly pay and satisfy to the said Randall his Executors, Administrators or Assigns, the said sum of forty one dollars and twenty five cents lawful money aforesaid, with interest for the same, on or before the twentieth day of April next, then this Bill of Sale, and every matter and thing herein expressed, shall be null and void, it being the true intent and meaning thereof that the said furniture is mortgaged by me to the said Randall to secure to the said Randall his Executors, Administrators or Assigns the payment of the said sum of forty one dollars and twenty five cents. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty first day of October eighteen hundred and fifty Signed, sealed and delivered James Wingate (Seal) in presence of Jno: G. Taylor State of Maryland Anne Arundel County SS. Be it remembered That on this twenty first day of October 1850, before the Subscriber a Justice of the Peace for said County appears James Wingate and acknowledges the above Instrument of Writing to be his act and deed, according to the true intent and meaning thereof. And at the same time and place also appeared before me Alexander Randall the mortgagee in on the said mortgage named and made oath that the consideration set forth in the said mortgage is true and bonafide as stated Sworn before Jno: J. Taylor Recorded on the 21.st day of October 1850 Costs $1.00
