Anne Arundel County Sct   I certify that the grantee in this Bill of
Sale this day paid one dollar being the duty chargeable by Law
on this Instrument of writing the receipt whereof is hereon endorsed
agreeably to the act of assembly of December session 1846
chapter 61   Given under my hand this twelfth day of June 1850

Joseph Busey
This Indenture made this Eighth day of June
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and fifty between William H Peake
of Anne Arundel County and State of Maryland
of the one part and Joseph Busey of the County and State aforesaid
of the other part   Whereas the said William H Peake owes and stands
indebted unto the said Joseph Busey in the sum of one thousand
dollars current money and to secure the payment thereof
is willing to Execute these presents   Now This Indenture Witnesseth
that the said William H Peake for and in consideration
of the premises and of the sum of one dollar current money
to him in hand paid by the said Joseph Busey and before the
sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these
presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Joseph Busey
his executors administrators and assigns all and singular the
following property to wit one negro man called Harry Hinson
one other negro man called Benjamin Naylor one negro Boy
called John Hinson, and one other negro Boy called Joseph
Hinson   To Have and To Hold all and singular the said named
negroes unto the said Joseph Busey his Executors administrators
and assigns to his and their own proper use and behoof Provided
always and it is declared to be the true intent and meaning
of these presents that if the said William H Peake do
and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto
the said Joseph Busey his Executors administrators or assigns
the full sum of one thousand dollars current money with
legal Interest for the same on or before the Eighth day of
June in the year one thousand Eight hundred and
fifty two then and in such case these presents and Every
matter and thing herein contained shall cease determine
