to her the said Henrietta B Pope all the property hereby bargained and sold or
mentioned and intended to be so unto her the said Henrietta B Pope as aforesaid
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this Eleventh day of
June 1850

    On this eleventh day of June 1850 personally appeared before me the
subscriber a Justice of the peace in & for the fourth Election District
Anne Arundel County State of Maryland James Mewburn and
made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that he stands
indebted to Henrietta B. Pope the sum of two hundred dollars the amount
Stated in the aforegoing Bill of Sale

Know all Men by these presents that I James H
Watkins of Anne Arundel County State of Maryland
for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred
and twenty five dollars current money to me in hand
paid by Edwin Duvall who now is and for more than one year passed
has been a Bona fide resident of the State of Maryland residing in the
County and State aforesaid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge
have bargained and sold assigned and transferred and by these presents
do bargain sell assign and transfer unto the said Edwin Duvall
his executors administrators and assigns my right and interest in
and to the negro woman Susan which I purchased of Sally D
Watkins said negro woman Susan was Born January 1 1831
and is to be free at the age of twenty Eight years, To Have and To
Hold the said negro woman Susan unto the said Edwin Duvall his
Executors administrators and assigns, In testimony whereof I hereunto
set my hand and seal and the said Edwin Duvall also hereto sets his
hand and seal on the twelfth day of June in the year Eighteen
hundred and fifty

State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Sct   Be it remembered
that on the twelfth day of June Eighteen hundred and fifty
before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the said State
in and for said County personally appeared James H Watkins
of N Seller and Edwin Duvall the purchaser of the said
negro woman named Susan and acknowledged Said Instrument
