On this 31st day of May 1850 at the same time and place appeared
the said Michael C Sparrow and made oath that the consideration
set forth is true and Bona fide

James Mewburn
         to
Henrietta B Pope
 Know all Men by these presents that I James
Mewburn of Anne Arundel County in the State
of Maryland for and in consideration of the
Sum of two hundred dollars current money
to me in hand paid by Henrietta B Pope of the same County
in the said State the receipt whereof I the said James Mewburn
do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these
presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Henrietta B Pope
her executors administrators and assigns all the personal property
hereinafter particularly mentioned that is to say two Horses 5 cows
2 calves one Bull 25 sheep 6 Hogs one carriage one cart
four ploughs two Cultivators one Harrow one sideboard
one slab four tables 18 chairs 3 carpets and stair carpeting &
Brass rods 3 pair brass Andirons shovel & tongs fender bureau
and 6 Beds Bedsteads and Bedding belonging thereunto
one large looking Glass and all other Household and kitchen
furniture and farming utensils now remaining standing and
being in a certain messuage or tenement situate in Anne Arundel
County State of Maryland and now in the occupation of the
said James Mewburn to Have and To Hold all and singular
the said goods Household stuff and furniture and all other
Articles and property above bargained and sold or mentioned
and intended so to be to the said Henrietta B Pope her executors
administrators and assigns forever   And I the said James
Mewburn for myself my heirs Executors and administrators
all and singular the said goods Household stuff and furniture
and other the premises unto the said Henrietta B Pope her
executors administrators and assigns against me the said James
Mewburn my executors and administrators and assigns and
against all and every other person or persons whatsoever
shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents
of all and singular said goods Household stuff and furniture
and other the premises I the said James Mewburn have
put the said Henrietta B Pope in full possession by delivering
