M. Taylor with the money arising from the sales of the Articles herein
enumerated or from the sales of such as may be substituted in their
place  Provided always that it is declared to be the true intent and
meaning of these presents that if the said Owen M. Taylor do and shall
well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Sarah Ireland
her executors administrators or assigns the full sum of two hundred
and fifty dollars current money of the United States with interest for
the same on or before the fifteenth day of October in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and forty seven then and in such case
these presents and every matter and thing herein contained shall
cease determine and be utterly void to all intents and purposes
anything herein contained to the contrary thereof in any wise
notwithstanding otherwise to be and remain in full force and
virtue in law.  In Witness whereof I the said Owen M. Taylor hath
hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year aforesaid
Signed Sealed and delivered                        Owen M. Taylor   (seal)
in presence of the word and in the twenty
seventh line of the first page and the word
likewise in the tenth line of the second page
being first interlined   John E. Stalker

    At the foot of the foregoing was thus written to wit

State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit  Be it remembered
that on this tenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and forty five before me one of the Justices of
the peace of the County and state aforesaid personally appears
Owen M. Taylor he being personally known to me to be the identical
person who is named and described as and professing to be the
party to the aforegoing instrument of writing and does acknowledge
the same to be his act and deed according to the true intent and
meaning thereof and the act of Assembly in such case made and
provided                                             John E. Stalker
