Arnold his executors administrators and assigns as aforesaid In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this eighteenth day of September eighteen hundred and forty nine Signed sealed and delivered in the F. J. Waters Ex.r of Chas Waters dec.d (seal) presence of T. W. Stinchcomb Elijah R. Arnold (seal) State of Maryland Anne arundel County ss: Be it remembered that on this eighteenth day of September 1849 before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for said appears F. G. Waters Exr as aforesaid & Elijah R. Arnold and acknowledges the above instrument of writing to be their act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof Acknowledged before T. W. Stinchcomb State of Maryland Anne arundel County to wit. On this 18.th day of September 1849 personally appeared Elijah R. Arnold before me the subscriber a justice of the peace in and for the state and county aforesaid and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration set forth in the within Bill of Sale to be true and bona fide as therein set forth sworn before T. W. Stinchcomb (seal) State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby certify that Elijah R. Arnold this day paid one dollar being the duty chargeable by law on this instrument of writing the receipt whereof is hereon endorsed agreeably to the act of assembly of December session 1846 chap 61 Given under my hand this 27.th day of September 1849 Jos H Nicholson Clk Recorded on the 27.th day of September 1849 Deld Franklin Warfield 14 Sept 1850 Cost .62½ paid
fifty dollars current money with interest and to secure the payment thereof is willing to execute these presents. Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said Joshua Gray for and in consideration of the sum premises and of the sum of five dollars current money to him in hand paid the said Samuel D.
