State of Maryland A. A. Co. to wit.   Be it remembered that on this 19 day of
May 1849 before the subscriber a Justice of the peace of said state in and for
said County duly commissioned and sworn personally appeared Dorsey Jacob
he being known unto me to be the person who is named and described as and
professing to be a party to the foregoing Indenture an acknowledged the same
to be his act and deed and at the same time and place also appeared before me
John Jubb the grantee in the said Indenture or Bill of Sale is true and bona
fide as therein set forth.      In Testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name
on the day and year above written                              Addison Johnson
Recorded on the 25 day of May 1849

Know all men by these presents that I Henry A Williams
Exr of Patience McCubbin (deceased) of A. A. County and
state of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of
thirty five dollars lawful money of the United States in
hand paid by Abraham Jackson (Cold man) of A. A. County and state aforesaid
at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant
bargain and sell unto the said Abraham Jackson his executors administrators
and assigns one negro woman Ann about twenty nine years of age to be free
the twenty fifth day of December eighteen hundred and forty nine (1849) if the
property of Patience McCubbin late of A. A. County (deceased) as a slave for
the above term and thereafter to be free and and discharged from all servitude
agreeable to the form and effect of the last Will and testament of the said deceased
the said negro boy being sold and conveyed by me as executor and in virtue of
of the power and authority vested in me by said last will and testament
To Have and to Hold the said described negro Ann for the term of years specified
above but no longer to the said Abraham Jackson as aforesaid his executors administrators
and assigns.   In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this
fifth day of May eighteen hundred and forty nine

a justice of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for A. A. County aforesaid personally
appeared Henry A Williams Exr of Patience McCubbin and Abraham Jackson they being known
to me to be the persons who is named and described as and professing to be the parties to the
foregoing Bill of Sale and doth acknowledge the said instrument to be their act and deed
And at the same time and place also appeared before me Abraham Jackson the grantee
