in record but has been lost or misslaid therefore said F. G. Waters agrees to execute
this second Bill of Sale as confirmatory of the former.   To Have and to Hold the
said described negro boy "Lewis" ^untill^ the first day of May eighteen hundred and seventy
four but no longer to the said Isaac C. Anderson his executors administrators
& assigns.   In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our
seals on the twenty eighth day of April eighteen hundred and forty nine

State of Maryland Anne Arundel County sct.   Be it remembered that on this twenty eighth
day of April 1849 before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for said County personally
appears Freeborn G Waters and Isaac C. Anderson and acknowledges the above instrument
of writing to be their act & deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof
                                                 Acknowledged before         W H Dorsey

At the same time personally appeared Isaac C. Anderson and made oath on the
Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration above mentioned was bona fide
paid by him to the said F. G. Waters                                 W H Dorsey

John Jubb
Know all men by these presents that I Dorsey Jacob of Anne
Arundel County in the state of Maryland for and in consideration
of the sum of forty eight dollars to me in hand paid by John Jubb
of the said County the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have
have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and
sell unto the said John Jubb his executors administrators and assigns my negro
slave named "Margaret" aged about two years.   To Have and to Hold the said female
slave unto the said John Jubb his executors administrators and assigns from the
day of the date of these presents untill the first day of May in the year of our
Lord eighteen hundred and seventy seven and not longer:  And be it further known
that from and after the said last mentioned day and to the date and take effect
from and upon the same and not before  I hereby for divers good and sufficient
causes and considerations me thereunto moving manumit release from
slavery and servitude liberate and set free the said female slave named "Margaret"
and her the said female slave I declare to be thenceforth freed manumitted
and discharged from all manner of service or servitude to me my executors administrators
and assigns      In Witness I hereunto set my hand and seal this
