346 contained to the contrary thereof in anywise notwithstanding And the said Edward C. Williams for himself his executors and administrators and for every of them doth covenant promise and agree to and with the said Thos Welsh his executors administrators and assigns that he the said Edward C. Williams his heirs executors and administrators shall and will well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Thos Welsh his executors administrators or assigns the said sum of one hundred fifty dollars current money together with interest for the same date and time and after such manner and herein before set forth and agreed upon for the payment of the sum In Witness whereof the said Edward C. Williams and Thomas Welsh have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first hereinbefore written Signed sealed and delivered in Edward C Williams (seal) presence of John W Iglehart Thomas Welsh (seal) State of Maryland Anne Arundel County sc On the 14th day of March in the year eighteen hundred and forty nine personally appeared the said Edward C Williams and said Thomas Welsh parties to aforegoing instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for Anne Arundel County and acknowledged the same to be their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned also at the same time and place Edward C Williams the party grantee made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration therein set forth is true and bona fide as therein stated Acknowledged before John W Iglehart J. P. Received 2d May 1849 ten cents for stamp duty on this instrument Jos H Nicholson Clk Recorded on the 2d day of May 1849 Cost $1.00 paid
is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained & sold & by these presents doth grant bargain & sell unto the said J W & C Reynolds their heirs or assigns all of my right title claim & interest in & to a negro man named John Green (being one half of him) about forty five years of age & now in my possession. To Have and to Hold my interest right title & claim of in & to the said described negro man to the said J W & C Reynolds their heirs executors & assigns to their only proper use & benefit forever and I the said Rousby M. Thomas my heirs executors and administrators the said right title claim & interest of in & to the aforesaid negro man unto the said J W & C Reynolds their executors administrators & assigns forever and against all person and persons whomsoever shall and will warrant & forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this 27th day of |
