In Witness whereof I the said James M. Webb have hereunto set my hand and affixed
my seal this 11th day of April 1849

And at the same time appeared Mary E. Woodward and made oath on the Holy
Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration named in the above Bill of sale
is bonafide and true as set forth

Be it remembered that on this 11th day of April 1849 before the subscriber a Justice of
the peace in and the City of Baltimore and state of Maryland appeared James M
Webb and acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be his act and deed
according to the true intent and meaning thereof   In Testimony whereof I have
subscribed my name the date above written                  Jas Buchanan

State of Maryland in and for the City of Baltimore duly commissioned and
sworn      In Testimony whereof I hereto subscribe my name and affix the
                seal of Baltimore County Court this 14th day of April A D 1849

Addison Johnson
Know all men by these presents that I Henry A. Williams
Executor of Patience Maccubbin deceased of A. A. County and
state of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of
thirty five dollars lawful money of the United States in
hand paid by Addison Johnson of Anne Arundel County and state aforesaid at or
before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell
unto the said Addison Johnson his executors administrators and assigns one negro
boy Abraham about two years old to be free the sixth day of February eighteen
hundred and eighty two (1882) of the property of Patience Maccubbin late of A.
A. County deceased as a slave for the above term and thereafter to be free and
discharged from all servitude agreeable to the form and effect of the last
will & testament of the said dec.d the said negro boy being sold and conveyed
by me as executor and in virtue of the power & authority invested in me by the
said last will & testament      To have and to Hold the said negro boy Abraham for
the term of years specified above but no longer to the said Addison Johnson
as aforesaid his executors administrators and assigns      In Witness whereof we
have hereunto set our hands and seals this 25 day of April eighteen hundred
& forty nine                                                   Henry A. Williams Exor
