341 he shall have arrived to the age of thirty five years to the said John Wesley Bourke his executors administrators and assigns: and I the said William F. Bourke for myself my heirs executors and administrators the said negro boy Joseph unto the said John Wesley Bourke his executors administrators and assigns against me the said William F. Bourke my executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof we have hereunto set one hand and seal this sixteenth day of April eighteen hundred and forty nine Signed sealed and delivered in the William F. Bourke (seal) presence of W.m Hawkins J. P. John W. Bourke (seal) Anne Arundel County sc. Be it remembered that on this sixteenth day of April 1849 before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for said County appears William F. Bourke and John Wesley Burke and acknowledges the above instrument of writing to be their acts and deeds according to the true intent and meaning thereof And at the same time also personally appeared john Wesley Bourke and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration mentioned in the above Bill of Sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth to the best of his knowledge and belief Sworn to and acknowledged before Wm Hawkins J. P. Recorded on the 17.th day of April 1849 Deld to grantee Jany 24 1850 Cost .75cts paid
day of July eighteen hundred thirty four purchase of one Jonathan Sleeper among others a certain negro woman named Charlotte to serve her and her issue until they should severally arrive at the age of thirty five years and no longer the said Charlotte being then about twenty years of age as by deed recorded in Baltimore County Court will appear and whereas John Johnson and Thomas L. Alexander of said City trustees of the said Richard I Jones did convey to the said Alexander Randall the said Charlotte and her issue to serve as aforesaid by a deed bearing date the nineteenth day of July eighteen hundred and forty four recorded in Liber W. S. G. No 2 folio 342 one of the personal deed record Books of Anne Arundel County. And whereas the said Alexander Randell hath hitherto sold the said Charlotte to the said Thos. S. McNier with her issue so to serve as aforesaid at and for the sum of one hundred and seven dollars and fifty cents. And whereas the said Charlotte hath had issue two children negro girl Kate aged now about two years and negro boy named William now aged about six months and the purchase money aforesaid having been fully paid and satisfied unto the said Randall Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said Randell for and in consideration of the premises and for and in consideration of the further sum of five dollars to him in hand |
