322 and seal the day and year first herein before written Signed sealed and delivered in S Albert Clagett (seal) presence of Edward Dubois Anne Arundel County to wit: Be it remembered that on this fourteenth day of February in the year eighteen hundred and forty nine before me the subscriber of the state of Maryland a Justice of the peace in and for Anne Arundel County personally appeared Samuel Albert Claggett party grantor in the annexed instrument of writing and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed Acknowledged before Edward Dubois Anne Arundel County tow it: On this 15.th day of February eighteen hundred & forty nine personally appeared before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace in & for the County aforesaid Alexander Randall party grantee to the foregoing mortgage and at the time of this taking the acknowledgment of the said Samuel Albert Clagett thereto and made oath in due form of law that the consideration set forth in the preceeding mortgage is true and bona fide as therein set forth. I the said John W. Williams do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Edward C Williams his executors administrators and assigns the following negroes to wit: one negro man named Tom a slave for a term of years whose term of service expires on the twenty third day of April in the year eighteen hundred and sixty five also two other negroes named Stephen and Alick slaves for life all of whom are in the possession and employ of Edward C. Williams at present as by reference to the last will and testament of Edward Williams in the office of Register of Wills of Anne Arundel County will more fully appear. To Have and to Hold all and singular the aforesaid property above bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be to the said Edward C. Williams his executors administrators and assigns forever. In Witness whereof we the said John W. Williams and Edward C. Williams do hereunto interchangeably set our hands and seals on this fifteenth day of February in the year eighteen hundred and forty nine Signed sealed and delivered in the Jno. W.
