assigns against me the said Francis Brashears Junr my executors
and administrators and against all and every other person and
persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by
these presents of all and singular which said chattle farming
utensils household stuff and Kitchen furniture & the said
Francis Brashears junr have put the said Richard Brashears
in full possession by delivering to him the said Richard Brashears
one chair at the sealing and delivery of these presents in the name
of the whole premises hereby bargained and sold or mentioned or
intended so to be unto him the said Richard Brashears as aforesaid
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and
affixed my seal this twenty second day of May in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five
Signed sealed & delivered
in the presence of   Edward Dubois   Francis Brashears jun

    Taken and acknowledged before me the Subscriber a Justice
of the peace in and for Anne Arundel County and I do hereby
further certify that Francis Brashears Jun the party grantor
to this instrument is known to me to be the person executing
the same and did on the twenty second day of May in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five
       Acknowledged & certified before

Bill of sale from Samuel Augustus
Clagett and Charles Clagett to John
Sullivan & sons of negroes and other
personal property dated the third
day of June eighteen hundred and forty five
Know all men by these
presents that we Samuel
Augustus Clagett and Charles
Clagett of Anne Arundel
County State of Maryland
for and in consideration that the firm of John Sullivan and
Sons of the City of Baltimore have agreed to accept the draft of
the said Samuel and Charles of or one of them to be payable
to the other for the sum of one thousand dollars at six months
and for and in consideration of the debt now due by the said
Samuel and Charles to the said John Sullivan and sons of four
hundred and fifty dollars and in order the better to secure the
same.  Have granted bargained and sold and by these presents
do grant bargain and sell unto the said John Sullivan and
Sons all the crops of corn and tobacco now in the Houses on the
farms in the said County on which the said Samuel and Charles
now reside also the following negro men viz Ben Bill Solomon Osborn
