295. convey unto the said Sarah M. Webb and Henrietta S. Webb their executors administrators and assigns all and singular the household and kitchen furniture of every kind quality and description of him the said George R. Webb now being in and about the dwelling house of the said George R. Webb situated on a certain farm occupied by him in Anne Arundel County in the state aforesaid near Millersville in said County and also the following slaves to wit Eliza aged about eighteen years, to serve about eleven years and her child named Isabella, now about two years old; and Phil, aged about fifteen years to serve about twenty years, also three horses, six sheep, eight head of cattle two wagons and all other the stock and all the farming utensils of every kind now on the farm hereinbefore mentioned. To Have and to Hold the said described or mentioned household and kitchen furniture, stock and farming utensils unto the said Sarah M. Webb and Henrietta S. Webb their executors administrators and assigns forever, and to Have and to Hold the slaves above named unto the said Sarah M. Webb and Henrietta S. Webb their executors administrators and assigns for and during the terms of servitude of said slaves respectively Provided however, and these presents are upon this condition that if the said George R. Webb his heirs executors or administrators do and shall pay or cause to be paid unto the said Sarah M. Webb and Henrietta S. Webb their executors, administrators or assigns the aforesaid sum of eight hundred dollars lawful money with legal interest therein at or before the expiration of three years from the date hereof then this deed or instrument of writing shall be void and of no effect in law or equity and the said George R. Webb for himself his heirs executors and administrators hereby covenants with the said Sarah M. Webb and Henrietta S. Webb their Executors administrators and assigns to pay or cause to be paid the aforesaid sum of eight hundred dollars lawful money with legal interest thereon at or before the expiration of three years from the date hereof and also will pay or cause to be paid all taxes assessments public dues or charges levied or to be levied by law on the mortgage debt and interest created or secured by this mortgage. In Witness whereof, the said George R. Webb hath hereto subscribed his name and affixed his seal on the day and year first herein written Signed sealed and delivered in the Geo. R. Webb (seal) presence of Walton Gray State of Maryland City of Baltimore sct. Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on this thirtieth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight before the subscriber a justice of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for the City of Baltimore aforesaid personally appears George R. Webb we being satisfied that he is the person who is named and described as and professing to be the party of the first part to the aforegoing deed of Mortgage or instrument of writing and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed And at the same time before me also personally appear Sarah M. Webb and Henrietta S. Webb the within named |
