term aforesaid to the said John Walton Jr. his executors, administrators
and assigns.  And I the said George Weems for myself
my heirs, executors and administrators the said negro woman unto
the said John Walton his executors, administrators and assigns
against me the said George Weems, my executors and administrators
and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever
shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In
Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this 25.th August
eighteen hundred and forty eight

Be it remembered, that on this 25.th day of August 1848, before the subscribers
a Justice of the peace for said county appears George Weems
and John Walton aforesaid and acknowledges the above instrument
of writing to be their act and deed, according to the true intent
and meaning thereof            Acknowledged before

Bill of Sale
Samuel McPherson
           to
William Spence
(  25  )  Know all men by these presents that I Samuel
(cents)  M.cPherson of Anne Arundel County in the State
of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of
five hundred dollars current money to me in
hand paid by William Spence of Anne Arundel
County in the State aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery
of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Samuel McPherson
do hereby acknowledge, have granted bargained and sold and by these
presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said William Spence
his executors administrators or assigns three horses, three cows, three
carts, the household and kitchen furniture farming implements now
in my possession and the crops now growing on my farm in Anne
Arundel County.  To Have and to Hold all and singular the said
horses & carts, cows furniture farming implements and crops above
bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the
said William Spence his executors administrators or assigns forever
and I the said Samuel for myself my heirs executors and administrators
all and singular the above recited goods and chattels and
other the premises unto the said William Spence his executors administrators
or assigns against me the said Samuel McPherson my executors
and administrators and against all and every other person or persons
