280. and affix my seal this 17.th day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty Eight Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of Edward Sands (Seal) Jno G. Taylor State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit On this 17.th day of June in the year Eighteen hundred and forty eight before me the subscriber a justice of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for Anne Arundel County aforesaid personally appeared Edward Sands and acknowledged the foregoing instrument of writing to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned also at the same time and place personally appeared John M. Davis party grantee therein named and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration therein mentioned is true and bona fide as therein stated In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal on the day and year aforesaid Jno. G. Taylor (Seal) Recorded the 26.th day of June 1848. Costs $0.95cts Paid 7 sides
and state of maryland at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have granted bargained and sold, and by these presents Do grant bargain and sell, unto the said Charles M.cCubbin his Executors Administrators and Assigns My Negro Girl Hester Nine years old in August Eighteen hundred and forty Eight and To serve until she is thirty which said Negro I will warrant and defend to the said Charles M.cCubbin his Executors Administrators and against every other person or persons whomsoever To Have and to Hold the said described Negro Girl hester to the said Charles M.cCubbin his Executors Administrators and assigns for ever and I the said George W. M.cCubbin for himself, Heirs, Executors and Administrators, the said Negro Girl |
