Bill of Sale from
Samuel M.cPherson
              To
William Spence
Know all men by these presents, that I
Samuel M.c Pherson of Anne Arundel County
and State of Maryland for and in consideration of
the sum of one hundred dollars current money
to me in hand paid by William Spencer of Anne
Arundel County in the State aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof I the said Samuel M.c Pherson do hereby acknowledge
have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and
sell unto the said William Spence his Executors administrators or assigns, two
horses, three Cows, the Household and Kitchen furniture farming implements
and carts now in my possession, and the crops now growing on my farm all
in Anne Arundel County,   To Have and to hold all and Singular the said
Horses and Carts, Cows, furniture, farming implements and crops above
bargained and sold, or mentioned and intended so to be to the said William
Spence his Executors, administrators or assigns forever  And I the said Samuel
for myself my heirs, Executors and Administrators all and singular
the above recited goods and chattels and other the premises unto the said
William Spence his Executors, administrators or assigns against me the said
Samuel M.c Pherson my executors and administrators, and against all
and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and
forever defend by these presents, of all and singular which said goods and
chattels I the said Samuel have put the said William Spence in full possession
by delivering to him one horse at the sealing and delivery of these presents
in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained and sold or mentioned
and intended so to be, unto him the said William Spence as aforesaid
In witness whereof the said Samuel M.cPherson hath hereunto set his
hand and affixed his seal this sixth day of May in the year eighteen
hundred and forty Eight

                               State of Maryland A. A. County to wit

On this Sixth day of may Eighteen hundred and forty Eight before
the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the State of maryland in and
for said County personally appeared the herein before mentioned Samuel
M.cPherson he being known to me to be the person who is named and
