268. Joseph and Horace Horace aged four years 20.th day of January last to serve until he shall have arrived to the age of Thirty Five years and then to go free and Joseph aged one year on 11.th day of February last also to serve until he shall have arrived to the age of Thirty Five years and then to go free, and all the said Kittys increase to serve until they shall have arrived to the ages of Thirty five years and then to go free To Have and To Hold the said described Negro Woman Kitty and her increase and her Two boy children Joseph and Horace to the said William F Burk his Executors Administrators and Assigns and I the said Rhetillah Burke for myself Heirs Executors and Administrators the said Negro Woman Kitty and her increase and two children Joseph and Horace unto the said William F. Burke his Executors Administrators and Assigns, against me the said Rhetillah Burke my Executors and Administrators, and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and seal this Tenth day of April eighteen hundred and forty Eight Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of Rhetillah Bourke (Seal) H. Robbins William F Bourke (Seal) State of Maryland Baltimore City Sc.t Be it remembered That On this Twelth day of April 1848 before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for said City appears Rhetilla Burke and acknowledges the above instrument of writing to be her act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof Acknowledged before H. R. Robbins N. B. The interlining words between the Eleventh and twelth lines (and all her increase) also between twenty first and twenty second lines (and her increase were inserted before the Acknowledgement thereof. And the Inventory was between the fourteenth and fifteenth lines (20 day of January last) and between sixteenth and seventeenth lines (on 11 day of February last between fifteen and sixteen lines and then to go free even all inserted in the Presence of the Parties concerned and at their request the alteration in the 11 line (word thirty) and also in the 12 line (word Four) and also in the 13 line (words Forty Five) also in the 16.th line (word Five) and also in 19 line the word five, were all made at the request and in the presence of the Parties 6 May 1848.
