of the hire of the said negro man, together with the interest as aforesaid, it
being understood that the nett hire alone of the said negro man is to be applied
and deducted as aforesaid

                                     Be it remembered that on this Eleventh day of
March in the year Eighteen hundred and forty Eight before the subscriber
a justice of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for Anne Arundel
County, personally appeared Willie Anne Parker party grantor, and
John S. Armiger party grantee, in the annexed instrument of writing
and acknowledged the same to be their act and deed for the purposes
therein mentioned and expressed.  And I do hereby certify that I am satisfied
of my own knowledge that Willie Anne Parker and John S. Armiger the
persons making this acknowledgment are the persons named as described
as and professing to be the parties grantor and grantee respectively
in the aforegoing deed or instrument of writing.  At the time of the
above acknowledgment the said John S. Armiger, mortgagee in the above
deed of mortgage, makes Oath before me, that the consideration set
forth in said deed of mortgage, is true and bona fide as therein set
forth

I Soloman S. Helsby of Anne Arundel
County and state of Maryland for and in
consideration of the sum of One Hundred
dollars current money to me in hand paid
by Martin F. Revell of the County and state aforesaid, at or before
the ensealing and delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof
I the said Solomon S. Helsby do hereby acknowledge have granted
bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant bargain and
sell unto the said Martin F. Revell his Executors administrators
