Caroline Holliday do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and Sold and by these present do grant bargain and sell unto the said E. S. Fryer his executor administrator and assigns One negro Girl Phyllis" she and her issue to serve the said E. S. Fryer during the time of their natural heirs the said Phyllis now being in the possession of the said Fryer. To Have and to hold, the said negro Girl "Phyllis" and her issues as slaves for life as above bargained and sold or meant, mentioned and intended to be, to the said E. S. Fryer his executors administrators and assigns forever, and we the said William S. Holliday and Caroline Holliday for ourselves our heirs executors and Administrators the said negro Girl Phyllis and her issue as slaves for life unto the said E. S. Fryer his executors administrators and assigns against us the said William S. Holliday and Caroline Holliday our executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will Warrant and forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof we the said William S.
