sold, and delivered and by these presents do hereby grant, bargain, sell, and deliver
unto the said Garrison Edwards my negro woman Eliza which said woman
Eliza I will warrant and defend to the said Garrison Edwards his Executors
Administrators and assigns against me my Executors and administrators and
assigns and against every other person or persons whomsoever
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this fifteenth
day of                           In the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and forty

before me one of the Justices of the peace for said County appears Robert
Boone and acknowledges the foregoing Writing to be his act and deed according
to the true intent and meaning thereof

Know all men by these presents that I William
Hardesty of Anne Arundel County and state of Maryland
for and in consideration of the sum of
sixty five dollars and Fifty cents current money
to me in hand paid by William H. Wood of
the County and state aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery hereof
the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold
and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said William H. Wood
his executors administrators and assigns all the goods hereinafter mentioned
that is to say, Two Dark Bay Mares One Ten years old the other between Seven
and Eight years one Hearse and one Buggy all of which said property is now
in possession of said William Hardesty  To Have and to hold the said
described property above bargained and sold to the said William H. Wood
his executors administrators and assigns forever to his and their only proper
