or cause to be paid to the said Jerningham D. Childs, his Executors
administrators or assigns the said full and just sum of Fifteen dollars
and twenty four cents with interest thereon from the 7.th day of December
1847 without any abatement or deduction, then and from thenceforth
these presents and every matter and thing therein contained shall
cease and be utterly void, any thing therein to the contrary thereof
in any wise notwithstanding
In witness whereof the said John T. Stallings has hereunto set his
hand and seal on the day and year above written

Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that on this 15.th day of January
1848, before the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace of the state of Maryland
in and for said County personally appears John T. Stallings, he
being known to me to be the person who is named and described as and professing
to be a party to the foregoing indenture, and doth acknowledge the Indenture
or instrument of writing to be his act and deed.  In testimony whereof I hereunto
subscribe my name on the day and year aforesaid

On this 15.th day of January 1848, before the subscriber one of the Justices of the
peace in and for said County personally appeared Jerningham D. Childs one
of the parties to the foregoing instrument of writing and made Oath on the
Holy Evangelly of Almighty God that the said John T. Stallings is bonafide
and justly indebted to him in the sum of Fifteen dollars and twenty four cents
with legal interest thereon from the 7.th day of December 1847 as expressed
in said instrument of writing
