use and benefit and I the said William Hardesty for myself my Executors
and administrators shall and will forever warrant and defend by these
presents to the said William H. Wood his executors administrators and
assigns the said described property against me my executors and administrators
and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever
claiming the same or any part thereof.  And I the said William Hardesty
have put the said William H. Wood in full possession by delivering
to him the said William H. Wood one Buggy at the sealing and delivery
of these presents in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained
and sold or mentioned and intended to be so unto him the said William
H. Wood as aforesaid   In witness whereof I have hereunto set my
hand and affixed my seal this Eighth day of March Eighteen Hundred
and Forty Eight

State of Maryland   Anne Arundel County to wit

Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on this Eighth day of
March in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty
Eight before the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace of the state
of Maryland in and for Anne Arundel County aforesaid personally appears
William Hardesty he being known to me, to be the person who is named and
described as, and professing to be as Party to the foregoing deed or indenture
and doth acknowledge the said indenture or instrument of writing to be
his act and deed
In Testimony whereof, I hereunto subscribe my name on the day
and year aforesaid

State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Sc.t

On this 8.th day of March 1848 before the subscriber one of the justices
of the peace in and for said County personally appeared W.m H Wood
party grantee to the within instrument of writing, and made Oath on the
Holy Evangely of Almighty God, that he did truly and bonafide pay to the
said W.m Hardesty the sum of sixty five dollars and fifty cents, being
the consideration expressed in the within bill of sale
